College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Karbala organizes its 3rd Scientific Conference on the role of livestock in enhancing food security.

The conference, in which 126 researches participated, included addressing issues of livestock in Iraq, providing scientific and practical solutions, reviewing the modern mechanisms in the advanced countries in improving livestock in order to support the national economy and food security.

The conference reviewed the mechanisms of developing the livestock sector, latest international developments, promoting development strategies and programs that help to enhance food security, the importance of transferring the results of contemporary research and the latest developments in science and modern experiences.

The Conference recommended preserving of livestock to support and promote Iraqi economy, as well as opening to international universities and research centers and inviting international companies to participate in scientific events.
