Karbala University reviewed with the Dutch Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Jan Walthasman implementing of an advanced agricultural program and strengthening of academic relations, University’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Zuhair Al-Mankoshi said.

 Dr. Al-Mankoshi added that the two sides agreed on  implementing an agricultural program between the College of Agriculture and the Dutch universities in the fields of livestock and field crops and he mentioned that the meeting aimed at strengthening and promoting livestock to support the national economy.

Dr. Al-Mankoshi said that the two sides reviewed means of developing cultural and academic relations between Karbala University and its Dutch counterparts, promoting strategic partnerships with the Dutch educational institutions to achieve knowledge integration to keep pace with the international developments and meeting needs of labor markets.

For his part, Mr. Walsman said that the visit aimed at strengthening relations between universities in the Netherlands and the University of Karbala, developing scientific and cultural cooperation between the two sides and exchanging of different experiences.

It is worth mentioning that the visit included a reviewing with a number of the university’s students on identifying teaching programs in Netherlands, scholarships, social and cultural exchanging and meeting needs of scholars.
