College of Agriculture, University of Kufa organized a symposium on the methods of organic agriculture and its impact on the quality of food produced.

The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed negative effects of excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides on human health, methods of organic farming, the impact of organic agriculture on the quality of produced food and the importance of spreading awareness and culture towards the importance of supporting the organic products.

 The symposium mentioned the organic products contain higher rate of food minerals which are important for human nutrition and fewer rates of harmful heavy metals to human health than those produced by the conventional methods.
