Two faculty members in the College of Education for Humanity Science, University of Diyala published a book on studies in spatial planning-applied study.

The writers based on specific criteria in preparing the strategic planning via adopting services criteria such as health and educational services in setting the spatial development plans.

The book, in which included of two chapters, the first reviewed data processing, displaying different aspects of the spatial planning process and setting a strategy to meet the health services needs of Diyala Province in light of three levels (minimum limit of standard, average limit of standard and maximum limit of standard).

The second chapter reviewed the needs for the market for the years (2010, 2015 and 2020) via the level of the (average limit of standard) as well as setting a number of indicators to be displayed in tables and maps in order to show spatial variations of the distribution of needs.
