College of Science, University of Kirkuk organized a symposium on stem cells and their uses in the field of medicine.

The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, aimed at identifying stem cells, sources, benefits and ability to treat some of the most difficult and scientifically incurable cases such as complete recovery in some cases, such as blood cells, which have the ability to multiply and specialize.

The symposium included the presentation of several scientific reports of the importance of using stem cells to improve the quality of life of patients in different medical fields, especially cancer, diabetic patients with complications of the disease, as well as patients with heart failure and treatment of some neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson and diseases resulting from spinal cord injury such as paralysis.
