College of Environmental Sciences, Al-Qasim Green University organized a symposium on the Home risks and how to overcome them.

The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, included reviewing the risks of gas of heaters and tobacco smoke as well as the rot that occurs when microorganisms grow with moisture and oxygen which cause sinus infections, coughing, eye irritation and asthma attacks besides the risk of the lead in old house paints and drinking water which causes health problems such as mental growth and neurological disorders.

The symposium recommended maintaining heating system and water heater, checking up old houses and not to use lead pipes for drinking water, using of pesticides according to the instructions and the need to wash hands well before eating and cooking meat.
