During a symposium on reviewing Higher Education’s strategy which was organized by the Progress Institute for Development Policies, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Abdul Jalel Al-Esa confirmed on that the Ministry’s strategy called on implementing new laws and regulations in applying the standards of the academic sobriety to achieve development and transform universities into productive institutions.

Dr. Al-Esa said that the Ministry set a policy to implement 25 strategies to change regulations, systems and old instructions such as scientific promotion, amending Higher Education law, modifying private education law, revising the scholarships strategy and reviewing the curricula system.

 

 

His Excellency added that the Ministry set a strategy to develop the education which starts from the students which start from rehabbing them to be involved in the labor market to meet the need of the Iraqi community and Dr. Al-Esa mentioned that the Ministry is keen on benefiting from scientific research movement to serve the community via adopting the applied researches to address issues and solve problems.

Dr. Al-Esa continued saying that the Ministry is working on making all universities independent form any political interventions because the educational institutions are providing community with all its needs and His Excellency reviewed decisions and procedures which the Ministry made in sobering the higher education in public and private universities.
