A study in the College of Dentistry, University of Babylon reviewed the health status of the surrounding tissues of teeth and temporal joint of patients with diabetes and osteoporosis.

The study also reviewed the condition of the surrounding tissues around teeth and gingivitis and the temporal joint’s movement of patients with diabetes and osteoporosis as well as reviewing the effect of these diseases in the oral cavity.

The study concluded that the jaw movement of patients was less, while tooth decay, friction and gingivitis were increased with increasing the level of the osteoporosis and diabetes.
