College of Medicine, University of Karbala organized a symposium on mixing of injection ampoules and vials, results and risks.

The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed the negative impacts of mixing injection ampoules and vials without the supervision of pharmacists and specialties in mixing of medicines compounds, risks of mixing two different drugs with each other besides side effects.

The symposium addressed the issue of using mixed injection ampoules and vials, side effect, incurable diseases that caused by them and methods to eliminate this dangerous phenomenon against life of people.

The symposium recommended activating (Health Professions Act) to reduce bad and dangerous practices, increasing health and cultural awareness and avoiding treating by mixed injection ampoules without the consultation of medical specialist.
