A researcher in the College of Science, University of Babylon conducted a study on designing a computer model to determine the radiation doses used treating malignant cancer cells via Nano-particles.

The study aimed at improving the cross-section of the cancer tumor via Nano-particles such as gold, gadolinium, silver and titanium particles, as well as increasing the absorbed dose by the tumor without affecting the healthy tissue surrounding the tumor.

The study reviewed that this method is of great importance in reducing the number of radiological sessions given to cancer patients.
