During a training course on chemical security and best practices in investigations of chemical accidents organized by Departments of Anti-Terrorist Weapons and Prevention of Terrorist Acts of Weapons of Mass Destruction, Interpol, Malaysia,  merged Ministry of Science and Technology reviewed improving the support to the member countries to ensure the safety and security of chemicals exercises to prevent using them and provide specialized training to agencies of combating chemical smuggling in order to counter the threat of the chemical terrorism.

The course highlighted the importance of coordinating the participation of the national authorities of Arab and International Police Directorate, Ministry of the Interior and the National Monitoring Authority to prevent proliferation and provide training opportunities.

The course recommended the need for Interpol reports and information analysis due to CBRNE factors to be translated by the Controlling Association in order to provide technical reporting, database and information exchanging with the Interpol to obtain expertise and equipment supporting.
