Faculty members in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Diyala obtained a patent on designing an electronic device to measure the posture of human body.

The patent reviewed that the device is designed to measure the posture of human body according to the numerical standards that define the body parts from the front and the side views based on the basic axes in the human body via a camera fixed in front of the device to highlight an integrated measurement that is far from observation of the experts.

The patent aimed at benefiting from the device to examine the candidates for admission to the colleges of physical education and sports sciences, police colleges and the military college for the needs of specifications in selecting the students as well as implementing it at the specialized sports schools to select athletes for various games.
