College of Pharmacy, University of Al-Mustansiriyah organized a symposium on the applications and effects of Botox injection on the human body.

The symposium, in which a number of faculty members and postgraduates participated, reviewed Botox as a protein substance characterized in a form of acetylcholine which transmits the nerve signals of the muscles that affects the nerve impulses and prevent the induction of muscle contraction besides it used in plastic surgery.

The symposium highlighted the types of Botox injections commonly used in medical centers, various injection applications, correct injection sites and their possible side effects on humans such as headache, eyelid relaxation and allergies.
