College of Education for Sciences of Pure Sciences, University of Basrah delivered a lecture on the theory of isolated waves (Solitons) in photonic crystal fibers.

The lecture reviewed how to implement the theory of Soliton phenomenon in the photonic crystal fibers and the emergence and persistence of the isolated wave in the fiber.

The lecture highlighted the effect of photonic crystallization coefficients such as the number of holes drilled, the diameter of the gaps and the distance between those gaps according to the dispersion as well as studying the effect of these factors on isolated waves and the possibility of controlling the optical fibers for an isolated wave.
