During a visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran and meeting with the Vice-President for Science and Technology Affairs, Dr. Sarna Stari and Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Dr. Mansour Ghalami, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail reviewed developing horizons of the academic cooperation between Iraqi and Iranian universities.

Dr. Al-Suhail said that Iraq is keen on developing the horizons of the academic cooperation with various regional and international educational institutions, including Iranian universities and creating joint investment opportunities for expertise, researches and scientific studies.

His Excellency also reviewed developing the level of academic agreements between the educational institutions of the two countries and between Iraqi and Iranian researchers, increasing inking memorandums of understanding in light of increasing scholarships in Iranian universities, completing joint researches and providing positive environment for the benefit of the community.

In the same context, Dr. Al-Suhail toured Sharif University of Technology and Azad University and His Excellency highlighted the possibility on joint scientific supervision on postgraduates as well as strengthening academic relations with their Iraqi counterparts.
