College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk delivered a lecture on the future of the charcoal production in Iraq.

The lecture, in which a number of faculty members and specialists participated, reviewed the charcoal as one of the most important sources of energy in the ancient times and theoretical concepts and methods of production as well as the environmental impact of the charcoal production.

The lecture highlighted the need to allocate special places for storing the charcoal which are far from residential areas and preserve the trees used in charcoal production for their negative impact on climate.
