Directorate of Scholarships and Cultural Relations

The Directorate of Scholarships and Cultural Relations was established since the establishment of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research under the Higher Education and Scientific Research Law No. 132 in 1970, Its nucleus was (Scholarships Department) in the Ministry of Education, and it and most of its employees were merged with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, It also remained (Department Directorate) linked to the Directorate of General Cultural Relations, then its name was changed to (Directorate of Scholarships and Cultural Attachés) headed by a department director and not a General Director, it became later as (Directorate of Scholarships and Cultural Relations) and its headed by a General Director.

Higher Education: On 30 British Ph.D. Scholarships

Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on 30 scholarships to obtain Ph.D. degree granted by British University of Warwick, Director General of Scholarships and Cultural Relations, Dr. Amjad Abd Al-Nabi Al-Sawad said. Dr. Al-Sawad added that the scholarships are fully supported for all submitted countries. Dr. Al-Sawad reviewed that the submission shouldn’t be after 16/1/2020 and via (http://scrdgate.scrdiraq.gov.iq).

Higher Education announced on Italian fellowships to obtain Ph.D. in the field of archeology by the Pontifical Institute of Christian Archeology, Italy, Director of Relations and Media and Spokesman, Dr. Haider M. J Al-Aboudi said. Dr. Al-Aboudi added that the submission will be via the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations website (scrdgate.scrdiraq.gov.iq) and the submission should not be after 23/12 / 2017 Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed that the applicant should have a letter of nomination includes the name of the candidate, graduation score, job title, date of births, scientific title for the master's degree and verification of employment as well as three recommendations from well-known faculty members in the same specialty in English language. Dr. Al-Aboudi continued by saying that the applicant should not to be submitted to any postgraduate studies inside Iraq, should have one year employment after hisher last graduation certificate according to the regulation No. 518 of 1986 supported with an affiliation letter from the workplace and should meets the conditions of the host country.
