Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance, Al-Karkh University of Science delivered an online lecture on nanotechnology and applications in the field of food via the university's online platform, the Faculty Member in the College of Agriculture, University of Anbar, Dr. Fadwa Waleed Abdul Qahar said. Dr. Abdul Qahar added that the online lecture reviewed the Nano-food and Nano uses in the fields of food, which aims at improving the characteristics of food products and increasing consumer options. Dr. Abdul Qahar continued by saying that the online lecture demonstrated the benefits of polymeric Nano-composites, their improvement fields, the nanotechnology’s uses in the field of packaging and the manufacturing of plastic containers that should be strong, light and heat resistant and able to prevent oxygen and carbon dioxide to be leaked and spoiling foods, as well as using canning with nano-particles of silver, magnesium and zinc.
