College of Education for Humanities, University of Basrah organized an online workshop on urban planning and its impact on facing crime, the Faculty Member in the College, Dr. Raad Yassin Muhammad Al-Hassan said. Dr. Al-Hassan added that the online workshop reviewed the relation between urban environment and crime, and access to an urban environment free of crime according to a sound urban planning. Dr. Al-Hassan continued by saying that the online workshop highlighted the concept of crime, its definitions, the concept of the urban environment and planning standards to reduce the crime phenomenon.
