College of Basic Education, University of Diyala organized a workshop on methods of generating electric energy from various energy sources. The workshop, in which a number of faculty members and students participated, reviewed types of generation stations such as steam, nuclear, water, tides, diesel and gas engines, wind and solar energy, as well as addressing the defects and advantages of each type of electrical energy source and their elements and the world attitude to eco-friendly energy sources that keeps the atmosphere from getting polluted over time. The workshop highlighted the process of generating electric energy via transferring energy from one form to another according to the energy sources in nature that depends on identifying the types of generation stations as well as the types of consumption, fuels and their sources.
