STU: On Activating E-Governance Mechanisms

In cooperation with SCM Organization, Southern Technical University organized a workshop on the mechanism of activating e-governance and its role in developing the performance of educational institutions, Ministry’s Deputy for Universities Affairs, Dr. Mohsin Al-Furaiji said.

Dr. Al-Furaiji added that the Ministry is keen on implementing its strategy to improve the performance of educational institutions via creating data centers that contribute in implementing the e-governance applications in the financial and administrative systems and scientific research applications.

Dr. Al-Furaiji reviewed the importance of benefiting from the experiences of implementing the e-governance in the State’s institutions and their impact on providing electronic services to the community.

Dr. Al-Furaiji called on harnessing all the potentials towards electronic governance which will be positive in the short and long term as an urgent need and easy to be implemented.

Dr. Al-Furaiji also reviewed the concept of e-governance and its importance as a modern system adopted by governments using the World websites and the prospects of applying electronic system management in the University.

Dr. Al-Furaiji highlighted the role of electronic management in transforming traditional business and services into electronic method to be implemented in high speed and accuracy without the need to use hardcopies.
