AGU: On Milk’s Somatic Cell Counts & Dairy Products

College of Food Sciences, Al-Qasim Green University organized a symposium on the effect of the somatic cell counts on milk for the specific qualities of dairy products The symposium reviewed the quantitative indicators of the specific qualities in the body, white blood cells of different types and the cells of epithelium in milk which determine the severity of infection and the quality of milk for processing. The symposium also reviewed common type of infection in Iraq where dairy laboratories do not examine the somatic cell counts in the received milk.
