University of Al-Mustansiriya and the Ministry of Health conducted a joint study on the resistance of Acinetobacter Baumannii to therapeutic β-Lactam antibiotic antibiotics. The joint study, in which published in the Journal of Pure and Applied Microbiology in Scopus, demonstrated the isolation and diagnosis of stagnant bacterium Acinetobacter Baumannii from various clinical sources, in order to give a clear idea of the genetic content in terms of the spot of the infection, as well as research of a specialized gene to encode beta-lactamase. The joint study reviewed the presence of mineral betalctase genes in the stagnant Albomanian bacteria. It is worth mentioning that the joint research team included the faculty member in Al-Mustansiriya University, Dr. Munem Radwan Ali and researchers of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Kifah Ahmed Jassim and Dunia Jawad Ridha.
