The faculty members in the College of Education, Al-Mustansiriya University, Dr. Salam Abd Al-Nabi Thijeel and Walid Rashid Hemoud published a book on the basics of the Visual Basic language for the scientific and engineering departments. The book reviewed principles of the Visual Basic programming language that was created and developed by Microsoft to represent the visual form of the Basic language, as well as highlighting the various methods of learning and developing skills of the Visual Basic in the serving researchers and students studying in all scientific and engineering departments. The book also reviewed the method of programming used in the Visual Basic language, how to use it, linking it with various events, the virtual tools that this programming language provides in addressing problems facing researchers in the fields of applied sciences and the mechanism of database management applications, smart multimedia apps and data encryption. It is worth mentioning that the book highlighted the Visual Basic's programming language is simple and easy to be understood and providing the users with a set of tools that can be used to create applications with a graphical user interface (GUI), as well as the book included 19 chapters on 208 page.
