Al-Mustansiriyah, Babylon Universities: On Emotional Intelligence & Classroom Management

In cooperation with the College of Education for Humanities, University of Babylon, College of Basic Education, University of Al-Mustansiriyah organized an online workshop on the relation between emotional intelligence and classroom management via ZOOM. The online workshop, in which a number of researchers, faculty members and specialists participated, reviewed the concept of emotional intelligence, its various skills, its role in managing the educational process within the classroom and achieving the desired goals to contribute in creating a suitable academic environment for both faculty members and students. The online workshop recommended benefiting from the experiences of the international educational institutions and implementing systems that based on interactive educational and academic programs in order to ensure the promotion of self-confidence among the student and support the principles of successful leadership of the faculty member. It is worth mentioning that the faculty members in the two universities, Mrs. Aseel Hatif Jassim and Dr. Hussein Hamid Maayouf delivered a lecture on the term of the emotional intelligence, which means the individual's ability to recognize his/her personal emotions and the differences that distinguish him/her from the term of IQ, as well as reviewing the five skills of intelligence Emotional, the mechanism to employ them properly in the framework of the educational or community environment and experiences of some of the international recognized universities in this field.
