In cooperation with the University of Jordan and Universities of Babylon and Kufa, College of Education, University of Al-Mustansiriyah organized an online symposium on developing partnership between educational institutions and the community, the faculty Member in the University of Jordan, Dr. Najeeb Abu Karaki said. Dr. Abu Karaki added that the online symposium reviewed the nature and importance of the relation between educational institutions and community, strengthening this relation in a way that contributes in providing distinguished university graduates that keep pace with the developments of the times and meet the needs of the community and the requirements of the labor market. Dr. Abu Karaki continued by saying that the online symposium addressed the issue of the relation between universities and community in the context of countries' approaches in reforming higher education systems as a strategy to improve the teaching process and research activities and the mechanism for linking universities to the development plans of the governments. It is worth mentioning that the online symposium recommended the necessity of linking university education and scientific research with the various issues of community, activating training programs for graduates and providing them with professional skills that they did not obtain during their university studies.
