College of Engineering, University of Al-Mustansiriyah held an online workshop on the principles and basics of parametric architecture via Free Conference Call. The online workshop reviewed the concept of parametric architecture, which is linked to a number of modern specialized programs including the two programs (GRASSHOPPER, RHINO) and the mechanism of overlapping this type of architecture in the process of generating the shape in design via using of mathematics to calculate the coordinates of complex shapes within its programs. The online workshop delivered three lectures by Dr. Hiyam Al-Sa’ati, Mrs. Hiyam Al-Bakri and Mr. Mohamed Khaled Ramadan on the most important principles of parametric architectural formation in architecture, as well as a number of practical applications to complete the formations based on the Parametric School’s method.
