Department of Microbiology, College of Medicine, University of Al-Nahrain held a symposium on biological and chemical safety. The symposium, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, reviewed the importance of contingency planning via good working condition, providing monitoring, providing information, education and training for staff as well as providing fire extinguishers, first aid kits, fire exit and assembly areas during evacuation process of the staff and students. The symposium also reviewed the basics of dealing with risks and methods of wastes to develop the integrated waste management law.
