A research team in the DNA Forensic Center for Research and Training, University of Al-Nahrain obtained a patent on removing the industrial dyes via using purified lactose enzyme.
The patent, in which granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Unit of the Ministry of Planning, included isolating bacillus cereus from soil via genomic and biochemical tests besides using bacterial bacillus cereus and purifying enzyme with color removal.
The patent concluded that the partially purified lactose enzyme is capable to remove dye via using sylingaldazine.
