A master's thesis, Faculty of Medicine, University of Al-Nahrain discussed a master dissertation on the antiangiogenic activity of butyl isothiocyanate by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Shahd Jameel Muhammad. The dissertation aimed at detection of the antiangiogenic activity of butyl isothiocyanate and its combination with aspirin, its study outside and inside the vivo and the examination of the synergistic effect as antiangiogenic compounds. The dissertation the mechanism of molecular evaluation by measuring vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) gene expression and that both BIS and acetylsalicylic acid have significant antiangiogenic effects and that their combination has an additional antiangiogenic effect. The dissertation confirmed that both butenyl isothiocyanate and acetylsalicylic acid reviewed important angiogenesis activity and anti-proliferative effect.
