During a meeting that included the President of Al-Karkh University of Science, Prof. Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ihab Naji Abbas, and a number of faculty members, Al-Karkh University of Science and Imam Redha International University in Mashhad, Islamic Republic of Iran reviewed mechanisms for developing scientific, academic, and research cooperation between the two institutions, expanding areas of joint work, and exchanging academic and scientific expertise and experiences.

For their part, the delegation from Imam Redha International University included the President, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Daneshfar, the Director of International Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Davoudi, the Vice President for Research and Technology, Dr. Daliri, Dr. Nemat Firouzi, and several faculty members.

The meeting addressed areas of research and academic cooperation of mutual interest, primarily the preparation and implementation of joint scientific research and studies, the exchange of expertise and knowledge between researchers and faculty members at both universities, the organization of scientific and specialized visits, and participation in conferences, symposiums, and academic and scientific events held by both universities.

The two sides also demonstrated potential areas of cooperation in postgraduate studies and expanding scientific communication channels between researchers, this would facilitate the formation of joint research teams, the exchange of specialized expertise and knowledge, and the development of collaborative research projects in priority scientific disciplines of mutual interest.

Both sides emphasized the importance of elevating academic and research cooperation by moving beyond the exchange of expertise and scientific communication to implementing joint academic and research programs and projects and these programs and projects should be based on the scientific and research priorities of both institutions and address their needs in Higher Education and Scientific Research.

This meeting reflects Al-Karkh University of Science's commitment to build academic and research partnerships with international universities and scientific institutions to expand cooperation in scientific disciplines of mutual interest, thereby creating broader opportunities for academic and research exchange and the development of joint scientific projects and programs.
