College of Science, Al-Nahrain University discussed a Ph.D. thesis on modifying some medications and studying the potential effect of some biomarkers on clinical cases postgraduate student, Ms. Dina Naseer Ali.
The thesis aimed at verifying the biological effectiveness of the prepared compounds after diagnosing them using spectroscopic techniques.
The thesis demonstrated purifying, diagnosing, and inhibiting the alpha-amylase enzyme for patients with pancreatic cancer and evaluating the toxic effect of the new compounds on the pancreatic cell line.
The thesis revealed the cytotoxic ability of the prepared Schiff base and the new compounds through MTT examination, which reviewed the cytotoxic effect of the inhibitors (D, D3, D4, D5, D6) on the cell lines: (PANC-1) for pancreatic cancer cells and (HdFn) cells. Natural.
