College of Science, University of Al-Qadisiyah discussed a higher diploma on the genetic susceptibility to lymphoma by the postgraduate student, Mr. Ahmed Abdullah Omran.
The diploma aimed at identifying lymphoma, its types and causes, as well as reviewing the genes associated with lymphoma, studying their effects and describing the causes of common types of lymphoma.
The diploma confirmed that disease mechanisms that involve repairing DNA defects and genetic and environmental factors that provide positive signals for B-cell survival and proliferation play an important role in the formation of lymph nodes and also clarified the important mechanistic pathways associated with the formation of lymphomas.
The diploma recommended conducting more research to complete understanding of the relationship between lymphoma genes and their effect and studying prevention and treatment methods to limit the spread of lymphoma.
