A master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Science, University of Anbar on the attenuation of Gamma ray via using white and red clay materials to estimate the mass attenuation coefficient by the postgraduate student, Mr. Ahmed Salih Samir. The dissertation aimed at conducting scientific tests of the attenuation of Gamma ray via the available Iraqi clays in Anbar Governorate that used in the production of ceramic materials. The dissertation highlighted modeling a number of samples with different layers, adding Borden material and studying it via using calcium-denatured sodium iodide reagent. The dissertation concluded that the mass attenuation coefficient increases when adding the Borden after studying a number of attenuation parameters.
