Azerbaijan Hosts Iraqi Faculty Member

During a Participation in the European Conference of Economic by the University of Azerbaijan, Baku, the Iraqi faculty member in the College of Management and Economics, University of Basra, Dr. Ahmed Saddam reviewed the relation between imports and economic and demographic growth in Iraq (A study on the relation between imports and economic and demographic growth in Iraq for 1986-2017)e via using the VAR method and the Granger Causality Approach. The conference aimed at exchanging point of views on similar economic issues among the participated countries as well as highlighting that the population growth in Iraq is an ineffective factor in increasing GDP and the commodity imports have a key role in increasing economic growth. The conference also reviewed the mechanisms of cooperation with the University of Azerbaijan and the other participated universities. It is worth mentioning that three official invitations for academic cooperation were delivered to the University of Basra, University of Kigali and Polish University of WSB.
