The College of Science for Women, University of Babylon discussed a master dissertation on advanced materials with high corrosion resistance after the successful preparation and characterization of fluorinated organic polymers and molecules by the postgraduate student, Ms. Amani Jassim Hussein.
The dissertation highlighted characterizing fluorinated organic molecules and polymers, exploring various applications, and preparing 30 new organic and polymeric compounds containing fluorine atoms.
The dissertation demonstrated preparing 15 compounds using condensation polymerization, while the remaining 15 compounds were organic materials that demonstrated high and distinctive corrosion resistance, this opens up broad prospects for their use in industrial fields that require high-level protection for equipment and facilities.
