College of Nursing, University of Babylon discussed a Ph.D. thesis on the effectiveness of the self-care educational program on the knowledge of patients undergoing open-heart surgeries by the postgraduate student, Mr. Amir Hassan Kadhim.
The thesis reviewed that cardiovascular diseases are among the most common health problems and the main cause of death worldwide.
The thesis demonstrated a semi-experimental quantitative study to select a study sample in heart centers and conduct a test before and after the implementation of the self-care educational program for each of the groups participating in the study, where the sample consisted of (60) patients divided equally into the study group and the control group.
