College of Pharmacy, University of Babylon organized a workshop on chemical and biological safety requirements in laboratories and chemical warehouses. The workshop, in which a number of researchers and specialists participated, included clarifying the process of inventorying and monitoring the chemicals to prevent leaking, the importance of warning signs, emergency exits and fire-extinguishers alarms how to use them, The workshop reviewed the safety and security requirements in the chemical axis, indicating methods of storage of chemicals and preparing methods a contingency plan for all the university laboratories through coordination with the control and health awareness. The workshop highlighted classifying and labeling the chemicals and the necessary qualification requirements for warehouse managers, procurement members for chemicals, security of assets, rooms, buildings and perimeter security.
