A faculty member in the College of Pharmacy, University of Babylon obtained a patent on preparing of an overlapping bio-polymeric material derived from fish shells and frankincense resin.
The patent, in which granted by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control Unit of the Ministry of Planning, included using fish scales as a supporting material for silicon medical polymer for its large proportion of phosphorus.
