College of Agriculture, University of Diyala delivered a lecture on the cultivation of sugarcane and future prospects of expanding sugarcane cultivation in the Province of Diyala.
The lecture included the most important motives of expanding sugarcane cultivation in Iraq and increasing local production of sugar to avoid high prices of the imported sugar.
The lecture reviewed that one of the main reasons of increasing sugar production is via producing biofuels extracted from ethanol in sugarcane.
