The faculty member in the College of Law and Political Science, University of Diyala, Mr. Jabbar Muhammad Mahdi published a book entitled (International Protection of Journalists during Armed Conflicts). The book highlighted the legal reality of the press in Iraq, its ethics and applications during the invasion of Iraq as well as reviewing the international law of human rights and its development. The book aimed at protecting journalists, extending of the commitment of Iraq and United States for it and legal protection for journalists in the light of regional human rights and international humanitarian agreement as well as reviewing national and international guarantees such as means of international criminal repression to ensure respect for rights of journalists and the extent of their application to protect journalists during the invasion of Iraq.
