A master's dissertation was discussed in the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Diyala on isolating the most common bacteria in terms of common diseases in milk and milk products by the postgraduate student, Mrs. Rufaida Muhammad Hussein. The dissertation reviewed that the highest level of bacterial contamination was in raw milk from cows. The dissertation concluded that the exposing to salmonella led to loss of appetite and the death of one of the animals at a time when the eye and histological changes were concentrated in the heart, lungs, liver, stomach and intestinal membrane and kidneys.
