During a meeting with the Armenian ambassador to Baghdad, Mr. Harracia Boladian, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib reviewed developing ways of cooperation in the field of scientific research between the two countries. His Excellency welcomed granting a number of scholarships and fellowships for Iraqi students by Armenia. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib added that the Ministry is keen on developing the scientific and academic relations. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib said that during the coming days the two sides will ink a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between Iraqi universities and a number of recognized international universities. For his part, Mr. Boladian expressed the Armenian universities keenness on developing more coordination with Iraqi universities in order to exchange experiences between faculty members and students in the two countries. Mr. Boladian said that Armenia has 435 Iraqi scholars studying in various specialties, especially medical fields.
