During a meeting with the Spanish Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Juan Jose Escobar, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nabeel Kadim Abid Al-Sahib reviewed developing ways of cooperation between Iraqi universities and their Spanish counterparts. His Excellency expressed the Ministry keenness on developing scientific and cultural relations with the Spanish side in order to upgrade the educational sector in Iraq. Dr. Abid Al-Sahib highlighted that the Ministry welcomes the academic openness and the Higher Education facilitates the procedures for studying abroad to contribute to study and scientific research in the recognized universities. For his part, Mr. Escobar praised the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education in providing full support for the mutual academic cooperation. Mr. Escobar stressed on that the Spanish delegation to Baghdad is keen on benefiting from the efforts of Iraqi faculty member and inviting them to participate in conferences by the Spanish universities.
