During a meeting with the French delegation of Merio, San Irenier and Anbar Institutions, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail said that the Ministry is working on developing academic cooperation via inking memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the Iraqi universities and their French counterparts. Dr. Al-Suhail added that Iraq is keen on promoting communication with France to benefit from their experiences in achieving the comprehensive development. For their part, French delegation expressed their keenness on enhancing the bridges of cooperation in higher education sector, modernizing curricula and visiting the Cities of Mosul, Qarqouche, Shikhan, Lalesh and Erbil. It is worth mentioning that the French delegation included the members of the Merio Foundation, Mr. Alain Merio, Ms. Chantal Merio, Mr. Irvine Karon, Mr. Khalil Eitot, members of the Anbar Foundation, Mr. Bernadette Liquek, Mr. Andrei Leclerc, member of the San Irene Foundation, Mr. Etienne Pique Gaultier, former France Minister Mr. Bernard Koucher, representatives of the Cities of Lyon Ron O'Frann and journalists.
