The Deputy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd announced the results of the 2026 National University Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Applications Championship.







Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd affirmed that the results reflected a high level of scientific and technical competition and demonstrated the students' capabilities and skills in employing robotics and artificial intelligence technologies and providing innovative solutions to the challenges presented, this reflects the growing academic interest in modern technological disciplines and applications.







The Deputy commended the efforts of the ministerial team overseeing the championship, the participating universities, and the scientific and technical committees, praising the scientific and technical level presented by the student teams and the competitive spirit that characterized the competitions.







Prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd reviewed that the championship represents a national platform for discovering student talent and developing their capabilities in the fields of technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence, as well as preparing a generation of qualified individuals capable of keeping pace with rapid scientific and technological advancements and supporting the transformation of innovative student projects into projects that can be incubated, developed, and marketed through technology incubators, student teams competed in the championship across six tracks: agriculture, community service, medicine, industry, education, and environment in the agriculture track, Al-Nahrain University, Alnoor University, Southern Technical University, Al-Ayen Iraqi University, and the University of Technology achieved the top results in the community service track, the Northern Technical University, the University of Information Technology and Communications, and the University of Technology secured third, fourth, and fifth place, respectively and the medical track was won by the Northern Technical University, the University of Babylon, the University of Mosul, Al-Naji University, and Ninevah University.









The Deputy added that the education track, Middle Technical University, Al-Safwa University, Tikrit University, Alnoor University, and the University of Mosul achieved the top results in the environmental track, the University of Mosul, the University of Babylon, the University of Technology, Alnoor University, and Al-Safwa University secured the top spots, finally, in the industrial track, the University of Technology, the University of Karbala, Mustansiriyah University, the University of Mosul, the Northern Technical University, and Al-Ayen Iraqi University achieved the top results, in that order.
