The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the launch of applications for the Iraqi Science Day Awards for 2025, which will continue until Sunday, September 13, 2026.

In confirmation of its commitment to promote excellence in various fields, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has specified the categories for scientific competition and their respective awards.

These include: the Outstanding Research Award (published in an international or local scientific journal), the Outstanding Authored Book Award (a methodological/common work), the Outstanding Scientific Journal Award, the Outstanding Graduation Project Award (undergraduate or postgraduate studies project), the Outstanding Research Center Award, the Outstanding Research Unit Award, the Outstanding Scientific Society Award, and the Outstanding Sustainable University Award.

The Research and Development Directorate clarified that the selection of winners in the fields of medical sciences, pure sciences, engineering sciences, and agricultural and veterinary sciences will be conducted in cooperation with the Clarivate Foundation.
