Higher Education, France in Academic Cooperation

During a meeting with French Ambassador, Mr. Bruno Obert, Higher Education’s Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Foud Qassim Mohammed reviewed developing academic cooperation between the universities of the two countries.

Dr. Mohammed said that the Ministry is working on enhancing the academic cooperation with the recognized international universities in fields of information technology and digital implementation of the latest developments to meet the needs of the Iraqi environment.

Dr. Mohammed added that the Ministry is implementing its strategy to benefit from the experiences of the advanced international universities, especially the French universities in order to develop the level of the faculty members and students in the fields of specialization.

Dr. Mohammed reviewed that the two sides agreed on activating the mechanisms of the joint programs related to the digital education, training, exchanging of experiences via sending Iraqi faculty members to the centers and universities in France and providing the basics of the academic environment to meet the requirements to success the cooperation programs.

For his part, Mr. Obert expressed France’s readiness to develop the academic cooperation with Iraq and bridging the cooperation between the educational institutions of the two countries.
