During a meeting, Higher Education reviewed with the U.S. organization of IREX promoting academic cooperation between Iraqi universities and their American counterparts, Ministry’s Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Foud Qassim Mohammed said.
Dr. Mohammed added that the meeting addressed the gap between the private sector requirements and the academic knowledge of graduates as well as reviewing the development of the skills of the graduates and involving them in labor market.
Dr. Mohammed said that the Ministry is keen on meeting the needs the labor market with graduates via forming a joint advisory committee from the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Labor and Social Affairs and Youth and private sector companies in the fields of oil and communications.
