Under the supervision of the General Directorate of Civil Defense, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research organized a field drill to assess preparedness levels and enhance the ability to respond to and manage incidents and emergencies according to approved safety plans and procedures.

Higher Education reviewed that the exercise, conducted at the Andalus Complex building, included field procedures simulating emergency situations, testing evacuation and response plans, and verifying the readiness of safety and security requirements within the building, as well as involved training staff on proper and organized procedures for handling incidents to ensure rapid response and minimize risks.

The Ministry added that the exercise reflects the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's commitment to implementing civil defense, safety, and security requirements within its institutions and to foster awareness of prevention and emergency response procedures, as well as this is achieved through awareness and training programs that include workshops, lectures, and field exercises focused on emergency and evacuation plans.

It is worth mentioning that these measures are part of the Ministry's efforts to strengthen coordination with the General Directorate of Civil Defense and relevant authorities, monitor safety requirements in its buildings and facilities, and enhance staff preparedness to handle emergencies according to established protocols.
